In 2023, I completed a project years in the making. Born from my passion for the church, I sought to articulate my biblical ecclesiology. More plainly, I wanted to create an overview of what the Bible says about the church and how it should function. It was intended to be a primer for church leaders who couldn’t attend seminary but desired to better understand their call to leadership.

This curriculum was born out of my Movement Matters study. The church theology of the Restoration Movement essentially acts as a foundation for modern non-denominationalism. I expounded on these Movement principles and adapted it for use in any independent church.

While it’s essentially a book, I didn’t feel it was the best structure or use of resources to publish in print. Rather, Church Matters is an integrated study. The nine-part overview consists of content, group discussion, and a video segment that introduces the topic. If your church leadership team wants to examine what it really means to function as a biblically-true church, this is a solid conversation starter.

I created the content through my work at CDF Capital and shared it through their Teachable platform. You simply need to sign up for the course and all the assets you need are made available to you. Click here to go to the website.
